TruBiz Interpreting Services LLC — The Collective
Effective Date: July 5, 2026
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using The Collective (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.
The Collective is owned and operated by TruBiz Interpreting Services LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Purpose of the Platform
The Collective is a professional development platform designed to support interpreter skill-building, feedback, collaboration, and training. The Platform also provides tools for agencies, mentors, and organizations to support workforce development and performance improvement.
The Platform is not a certification body and does not guarantee employment, certification outcomes, or professional advancement.
Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Provide accurate registration information
- Agree to abide by all community and usage rules
We reserve the right to deny or revoke access at any time.
User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- All activity under your account
- Providing accurate profile information
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
User Content (Videos, Feedback, and Uploads)
Users may upload videos, stimulus responses, comments, and other content (“User Content”).
By uploading content, you grant The Collective a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Store
- Display
- Process
- Use content within the Platform for training and functionality purposes
- Users retain ownership of their original content.
- Content is private by default unless explicitly shared.
- Users may choose to share content within groups or the broader library.
5.1 Feedback Purpose
All feedback is intended for educational development, skill refinement, and professional growth. Feedback is not certification validation, employment evaluation, or formal grading.
5.2 Feedback Requirements
Feedback must:
- Reference observable behavior in the video
- Include actionable improvement suggestions
- Avoid vague or unsupported criticism
- Focus on interpreting performance only
5.3 Feedback Types
Feedback may be structured (rubric-based), timestamped commentary, or general observational feedback. Users should clearly distinguish between opinion, technical correction, and professional recommendation.
5.4 Feedback Integrity
Users may not:
- Submit intentionally harmful feedback
- Use feedback tools to harass or embarrass users
- Spam feedback systems with repetitive content
- Misrepresent expertise level
5.5 Feedback Visibility
Feedback may be public within a group, private to the user, or mentor-only (if applicable). Visibility is controlled by group or platform settings.
5.6 Feedback Disputes
Users may report feedback as abusive or inaccurate and request review by administrators. The platform may remove feedback, restrict feedback privileges, or flag repeat offenders.
Stimulus Library Content
Users may upload or share external content (including YouTube links or other media). Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use or share any external content. The Collective is not responsible for copyright violations submitted by users.
Feedback and Peer Review Disclaimer
Feedback provided on the Platform:
- Is for educational and developmental purposes only
- Does not represent professional certification, licensure, or official evaluation
- May vary in quality, accuracy, and style depending on the user
The Company does not guarantee accuracy, appropriateness, or professional validity of peer-generated feedback.
Community Standards & Code of Conduct
The Collective is designed as a professional development environment. All users are expected to engage in a respectful, constructive, and development-focused manner at all times.
8.1 Core Behavioral Expectations
All users must:
- Provide feedback that is constructive, specific, and development-oriented
- Communicate respectfully, even when giving critical feedback
- Treat all users with professional courtesy regardless of skill level or certification status
- Focus on interpreting performance and skill development "” not personal characteristics
- Engage in good faith participation within groups and mentorship spaces
The Platform is not a social media space. It is a professional training environment.
8.2 Zero-Tolerance Violations
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban without prior warning:
A. Harassment & Bullying
- Personal attacks on users
- Mocking, shaming, or degrading interpreting performance
- Repeated negative targeting of a user
- Intentionally discouraging participation through hostility or ridicule
B. Unprofessional or Harmful Feedback
- Feedback that is intentionally vague but negative (e.g., “this is bad” without explanation)
- Feedback designed to embarrass, intimidate, or discourage users
- Misuse of feedback tools to assert dominance or superiority
C. Discrimination & Bias
- Any discrimination based on race, gender, disability, deaf/hearing status, ethnicity, religion, or identity
- Biased commentary unrelated to interpreting performance
- Exclusionary behavior within groups based on personal preference
D. Misuse of Platform Features
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
- Manipulating group systems to exclude or target individuals
- Uploading content without proper rights or permission
- Using the platform for advertising, spam, or unrelated content
E. Certification Misrepresentation
- Claiming false certification levels
- Misrepresenting credentials in profiles or mentor listings
- Presenting feedback as formal certification or official evaluation
8.3 Feedback Integrity Standards
Because The Collective relies heavily on peer feedback, users agree that:
- Feedback must be based on observable performance within the video content
- Users should avoid personal judgment statements (e.g., “you are not good at this”)
- Feedback should prioritize improvement (“try this instead…”) over criticism
- Users should clearly distinguish between opinion and correction
- Feedback should align with professional interpreting standards where applicable
8.4 Reporting System
Users may report violations at any time including harassment or bullying, inappropriate feedback, spam or misuse, unsafe or unprofessional behavior, and misrepresentation of identity or certification. All reports will be reviewed by platform administrators.
8.5 Enforcement Policy
Depending on severity, violations may result in:
- Level 1 "” Warning: Notification of violation and required behavior correction guidance
- Level 2 "” Temporary Restriction: Suspension of commenting, feedback, or group access for a defined period
- Level 3 "” Group Removal: Removal from specific groups and loss of group participation privileges
- Level 4 "” Permanent Ban: Immediate removal from the Platform, loss of all access, and prevention of re-registration where applicable
8.6 Platform Safety Authority
The Collective reserves the right to remove any content that violates these standards, restrict or terminate accounts at its sole discretion, investigate behavior across groups and interactions, and take preventative action to protect user safety and platform integrity.
8.7 Purpose
These standards exist to maintain a safe, structured, and professional learning environment. The Collective is built to support growth through feedback, not competition, criticism, or social hierarchy. Users are expected to engage with the intent of improving interpreting skills and supporting peer development.
Reporting and Enforcement
Users may report violations. We reserve the right to investigate reports, remove content, restrict or terminate accounts, and take appropriate action at our discretion.
Groups and Community Spaces
Groups are user-created spaces within the Platform. Group administrators may add or remove members, set internal rules, and moderate content. The Company is not responsible for group-level decisions or disputes between users.
10.1 Group Types
Groups may be private (invite-only), agency-controlled, mentor-led, or peer-led. Group type determines moderation authority.
10.2 Group Ownership
Each group must have at least one primary admin and optional co-admins or moderators. Ownership responsibilities include member management, rule enforcement, and content oversight.
10.3 Group Lifecycle
Groups may be created, modified, or archived; permanently deleted by owner; or become inactive due to inactivity. Archived groups may retain history but are read-only.
10.4 Member Control
Admins may add or remove members, restrict posting permissions, and mute or restrict users within the group. Users may leave groups at any time and request removal of their content (subject to system limitations).
10.5 Group Safety
All group activity must comply with Community Standards. The platform may intervene in groups that show repeated harassment, violate safety policies, or fail moderation requirements.
10.a–10.e Moderation System
Moderation may be performed by platform administrators or designated moderators. Reports are categorized as harassment, abuse of feedback system, spam or misuse, misrepresentation, or safety concerns. Reports will be logged immediately and reviewed in a reasonable timeframe based on severity. Users may appeal moderation decisions; final decision rests with the platform.
Mentors (Future or Beta Feature)
Mentors are independent users who may provide paid or unpaid guidance. The Platform does not guarantee mentor quality or outcomes, is not responsible for mentor advice or performance, and may facilitate payments between users and mentors where applicable. Mentor relationships are user-managed interactions.
11.1 Mentor Status
Mentors may be Verified Mentors (platform-reviewed credentials or experience) or Independent Mentors (user-listed, not formally verified unless stated). The platform does not guarantee educational or professional outcomes.
11.2–11.5 Mentor Conduct, Liability & Disputes
Mentors agree to provide constructive, skill-based feedback; avoid personal criticism unrelated to interpreting performance; maintain professional communication standards; and respect learner confidentiality. The Collective is not responsible for accuracy of mentor feedback, professional outcomes resulting from mentorship, or mentor disputes with users. If paid mentorship is enabled, mentors set their own rates, payments are processed through the platform, and the platform may collect a commission fee. Users may report mentors for unprofessional behavior, inaccurate or harmful feedback, or misrepresentation of credentials; mentor access may be temporarily suspended, reviewed, or permanently revoked.
Agency Accounts (If Applicable)
Agencies may access additional tools including analytics and group management features. Unless explicitly granted by the user or group, agencies do NOT have access to private user content and only see data tied to their organizational account.
12.1 Default Access Rules
Agencies receive access to aggregated analytics, group-level performance data, and certification distribution summaries. Agencies do not automatically receive access to private user videos, personal feedback threads, or friend activity outside agency groups.
12.2 User-Controlled Sharing
Users may explicitly grant agencies access to individual videos, group activity, and performance feedback. Consent must be explicit, logged, and revocable where systemically possible.
12.3–12.5 Anonymized Data, Use Restrictions & Enforcement
The platform may provide agencies with anonymized usage trends, skill progression metrics, and category engagement data. No personally identifiable content is included in anonymized reports. Agencies may not export user videos outside the platform without consent, use platform data for disciplinary action outside agreed use cases, share user content with third parties without permission, or reidentify anonymized users. The Collective reserves the right to restrict agency access for misuse, audit agency data usage, and suspend accounts violating data boundaries.
Payments and Subscriptions
Some features of the Platform require payment. By subscribing, you agree to recurring billing unless canceled, that fees are non-refundable unless required by law, and that pricing may change with notice.
13.1 Subscription Billing
Users may subscribe to Free, Core, Pro, or Agency plans (future expansion). Billing is recurring unless canceled and subject to pricing updates with notice.
13.3 Refund Policy
Refunds may be issued at platform discretion for billing errors, duplicate charges, or verified system failures. Otherwise, subscriptions are non-refundable unless legally required.
13.4 Chargebacks
In case of chargebacks, user access may be suspended, the platform may restrict the account until resolution, and abuse of chargebacks may result in a permanent ban.
13.5 Agency Billing
Agency accounts may include seat-based billing, usage-based billing, or contracted pricing. Failure to pay may result in service limitation, suspension of agency tools, or contract termination.
Intellectual Property
All Platform design, code, branding, and systems are owned by TruBiz Interpreting Services LLC. Users may not copy, reverse engineer, reproduce, or resell any part of the Platform without written permission.
Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and store data.
15.1 Default Privacy Model
All user-uploaded content (including videos, audio, and written feedback) is private by default. Content visibility levels include: Private (default "” only the creator can view), Group-only (visible only to approved group members), Agency-linked (optional "” visible only if explicitly shared or assigned), and Public library (opt-in "” shared into platform stimulus library). Users must take an active step to share content beyond private use.
15.2 Video Ownership
Users retain ownership of all original uploaded content. However, by uploading content, users grant The Collective a non-exclusive license to store and process content for platform functionality, display content to intended recipients (groups, mentors, agencies where applicable), and retain content as long as the account remains active or as required for legal compliance. The Collective does NOT claim ownership of user-created content.
15.3 Content Removal Rights
Users may delete videos at any time from their account and withdraw content from groups (subject to system limitations). Content already used in feedback threads may remain visible within historical records unless fully deleted system-wide. Some content may be retained for dispute resolution or legal compliance.
15.4 Stimulus Content Rules
Users may upload or link external content. Users are responsible for copyright compliance, permission to use materials, and proper attribution where required. The Collective is not liable for copyright violations uploaded by users.
15.5 Data Retention
The platform may retain account data, activity logs, feedback history, and group participation history. Active accounts are stored during usage. Deleted accounts are retained for a limited administrative/legal period before removal (exact timeframe defined in the Privacy Policy).
Disclaimers & Certification Integrity
The Platform is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee accuracy of content, professional outcomes, certification results, employment outcomes, or continuous uninterrupted access.
16.1–16.5 Certification System
Certification levels displayed are self-reported, verified, or platform-assigned depending on status. Users may submit certification documents and proof of credentials for review. Users may NOT claim false certification status or misrepresent credentials in profile or mentorship "” violations may result in profile correction, suspension, or permanent removal. Users may dispute verification decisions and certification level assignments; the platform reserves final authority.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruBiz Interpreting Services LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms, harmful behavior, or legal compliance requirements. Users may delete their account at any time.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of changes.
